End of the World?

There are a lot of predictions about the end of the world. The end of the world will come, not from the invisible entity we call God but by stupid human beings that are fighting for power and also over differences in faith. They are the ones that will destroy us all (and themselves). Here is what a scientist from NASA has to say about this rumor of the end of this world on the 21st of this month.

These fears are based on misinterpretations of the Mayan calendar. On the 21st, the date of the winter solstice, a calendar cycle called the 13th b'ak'tun comes to an end. Although Maya scholars agree that the ancient Maya would not have seen this day as apocalyptic, rumors have spread that a cosmic event may end life on Earth on that day.
Thus NASA's involvement. The space agency maintains a 2012 information page debunking popular Mayan apocalypse rumors, such as the idea that a rogue planet will hit Earth on Dec. 21, killing everyone. (In fact, astronomers are quite good at detecting near-Earth objects, and any wandering planet scheduled to collide with Earth in three weeks would be the brightest object in the sky behind the sun and moon by now.
"There is no true issue here," David Morrison, an astrobiologist at NASA Ames Research Center, said...

When whoever read the Mayan tablets apparently jump to conclusions as to what the Mayans meant, it represents a danger.  But further studies indicate that they did not mean the end of the world. In this same news story they explain about the apocalypse that is supposed to happen on the 21st of this month.

I've written about the end of the world in previous posts. I wrote about those who had previously predicted the end of the world - mainly cult leaders. I remember writing that no one knows when the end will come. I believe that it will happen someday, if these hungry-for-power killers of any different faith than theirs have their way.  Not that they want to end the world but their actions can easily lead to world-ending wars and destruction.

In the Bible it states that when the end of the world is near, there will be the sounds of trumpets. I forget how many times they are suppose to sound, but already apparently the first sound has happened.  It was really low and apparently it wasn't heard all over.  But it's still unsettling.

Also, the Bible says there will be storms like we've never had before and diseases that man will not be able to cure and more people will deny the existence of the Lord.  Check, check and check. In a couple of countries there have been storms line none ever seen before.  And of course there are new diseases that have been discovered with no cure for them.  And more and more people are denying that the existence of the Lord. I believe that when the end comes and on the Day of Judgment there will be a lot of souls for the incinerator. The only thing I can suggest is to live by the Ten Commandments and have faith and you might escape the incinerator.

Have a good day and may God bless you.
